Mills shatters 3000M race walk school record

Winston-Salem, NC. - Today, at the Mondo Invitational, Union's Chandler Mills competed in the 3000M race walk.

Mills clocked a time of 17:29.73, while securing fourth place in the race. This achievement marks a remarkable feat as Mills shattered the school record by an outstanding 2:07.02.

It's worth noting that Mills previously held the record with a time of 19:36.75, which was accomplished on Jan. 21, 2023.

Up next for Union track and field is the Bellarmine Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 20.
