Jefferson City, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University men's tennis team played at Division II opponent Carson-Newman on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell short 4-3.

 

Doubles:

Marnix Van Dalen and Paul Gayk defeated Artsiom Sinitsyn and Henning Ebersohn (Union) 6-3.

Gjorgji Jankulovski and Louis Keenan defeated Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) 6-2.

Matthew Saunders and Leonard Baecker defeated Enzo Sebastien and Daniel Caballeros (Union) 5-1.

 

Singles:

Marnix Van Dalen defeated Artsiom Sinitsyn (Union) 7-5, 6-4.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Gjorgji Jankulovski 6-2, 6-4.

Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Paul Gayk 4-6, 6-4, 10-7.

Louis Keenan defeated Henning Ebersohn (Union) 6-4, 6-2.

Matthew Saunders defeated Yassine Azehaf (Union) 6-3, 6-1.

Daniel Caballeros (Union) defeated Leonard Baecker 6-4, 7-5.

 

The Bulldogs are now 1-3 this season, while Carson-Newman is 2-0. Up next for No. 20 UCU is a road match against No. 18 Cumberlands on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 1:00 p.m.
