No. 15 Union falls at No. 2 Tennessee Wesleyan

Athens, Tenn. – The No. 15 Union Commonwealth University men's tennis team fell short 6-1 at No. 2 Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' lone point was collected via a singles win for Luke Geduldt.

 

Doubles:

Octavio Volpi and German Delcanto defeated Diego Garcia Gil and Daniel Caballeros (Union) 6-4.

Zoilo Rios and David Leon defeated Henning Ebersohn and Harry Jordan (Union) 7-5.

Agustin Gaia and Gregorio Magnarelli defeated Luke Geduldt and Joao Cardoso (Union) 6-2.

 

Singles:

Octavio Volpi defeated Diego Garcia Gil (Union) 6-1, 6-0.

Sabi Roi defeated Niccolo Chiriatti (Union) 6-2, 6-1.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated German Delcanto 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.

Patricio Gallegos defeated Harry Jordan (Union) 1-6, 6-1, 4-1.

Zoilo Rios defeated Joao Cardoso (Union) 6-3, 6-0.

David Leon defeated Henning Ebersohn (Union) 6-1, 6-3.

 

Following the match, Union fell to 7-10 (3-2 AAC) on the season, while Tennessee Wesleyan advanced to 12-1 (6-0 AAC). Up next for Union is a home match on Friday, March 29, against Campbellsville at 2:00 p.m.
