No. 14 Union defeats Milligan 6-1

Milligan, Tenn. – The No. 14 Union College men's tennis team defeated Milligan 6-1 on Tuesday in a conference match. The Bulldogs have won five of their past six matches dating back to a 7-0 win over Columbia on Feb. 25.

Doubles:

Diego Garcia Gil and Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Justin Rigsby and Nathan Smiley 6-4.

Henning Ebersohn and Niccolo Chiriatti (Union) defeated Ryan Thomas and Kevin Bollmann 7-6.

Victor Bourguignon and Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Gonzaga Lafarga and Brayden Kennedy 6-3.

Singles:

Diego Garcia Gil (Union) defeated Stefan Macheiner 7-6, 6-0.

Gonzaga Lafarga defeated Niccolo Chiriatti (Union) 6-3, 6-3.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Nathan Smiley 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Kacper Gorecki (Union) defeated Ryan Thomas 6-2, 6-4.

Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Marcos Moreno 7-6, 6-2.

Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Kevin Bollman 3-6, 7-6, 10-6.

The Bulldogs are now 7-8 (3-1 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 5-10 (2-3 AAC). Up next for Union is a match at No. 15 Lindsey Wilson on Thursday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m.
