No. 16 Union wins 5-2 against No. 17 Grace

Barbourville, Ky. – The No. 16 Union College men's tennis team picked up an impressive 5-2 victory on Tuesday against No. 17 Grace.

The victory marks the Bulldogs' second win of the season against a ranked NAIA opponent. The other such win occurred on Feb. 20 with a 4-3 road victory against a Cumberlands team that was ranked No. 11 at the time.

Doubles:

Salva Pons and Pablo Gregori defeated Diego Garcia Gil and Daniel Caballeros (Union) 6-3.

Harry Jordan and Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Javier Gallego and Manuel Marques 6-3.

Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Luis Cordoba and Cesar Garcia 6-1.

Singles:

Javier Gallego defeated Diego Garcia Gil (Union) 6-4, 7-6.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Pablo Gregori 4-6, 7-5, 7-6.

Kacper Gorecki (Union) defeated Salva Pons 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.

Luis Cordoba defeated Harry Jordan (Union) 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Cesar Garcia 6-0, 6-0.

Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Manuel Marques 6-1, 6-3.

The Bulldogs are now 4-7 this season, while Grace is 14-4. Up next for Union is a home match against No. 24 Oakland City on Monday, March 11, at 10:00 a.m.
