The Bulldogs fall short 4-3 at Lees-McRae

Banner Elk, N.C. – The Union College men's tennis team competed against Division II opponent Lees-McRae on Wednesday. The Bulldogs put together a valiant effort, but fell short 4-3.

Doubles:

Andrew Kunaka and Andy Tallafigo defeated Harry Jordan and Joao Cardoso (Union) 7-5.

Max Borisov and Cole Gibson defeated Diego Garcia Gil and Daniel Caballeros (Union) 6-1.

Hudson Hoskins and Ezequiel Arce defeated Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) 6-2.

Singles:

Max Borisov defeated Luke Geduldt (Union) 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.

Andrew Kunaka defeated Harry Jordan (Union) 6-2, 6-4.

Ezequiel Arce defeated Niccolo Chiriatti (Union) 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.

Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Andy Tallafigo 7-6, 5-7, 10-8.

Daniel Caballeros (Union) defeated Cole Gibson 6-3, 6-2.

Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Hudson Hoskins 6-1, 7-5.

The Bulldogs are now 2-7 this season, while Lees-McRae is 2-4. Up next for Union is a road conference match against Columbia on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2:00 p.m.
