Union men's tennis falls to Tennessee Wesleyan in the AAC finals

Chattanooga, Tenn. – The Union College men's tennis team fell short in today's AAC Championship match.

No. 2 Union won the doubles point, but dropped four singles matches to give No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan a 4-1 victory.

Singles:

Nicolas Cortes Campos defeated Sebastiano Zorzi (Union) 6-2, 6-1.

Jesus Fernandez defeated Kacper Gorecki (Union) 6-0, 6-0.

Zoilo Rois vs. Victor Lopes (Union) 2-6, 5-3 DNF.

Ruben Busch vs. Santiago Diaz Lopez 6-4, 1-1 DNF.

Sabi Roi defeated Harry Jordan (Union) 6-0, 6-3.

Octavio Volpi defeated Luke Geduldt (Union) 6-1, 6-2.

Doubles:

Harry Jordan and Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Octavio Volpi & Nicolas Cortes Campos 6-4.

Sabi Roi & Ruben Busch defeated Sebastiano Zorzi & Luke Geduldt (Union) 6-3.

Victor Lopes & Santiago Diaz Lopez (Union) defeated Jesus Fernandez & Zoilo Rios 7-6 (7-4).

Union is now 13-6 this season. The Bulldogs entered Saturday with a six-match winning streak.
