Union gets a 7-0 win at Bluefield

Bluefield, Va. - The Union College men's tennis team defeated Bluefield on Saturday. The victory marked Union's third consecutive 7-0 win. The previous two occurred against Columbia and Milligan.

The Bulldogs have now won nine of their past 10 matches. The combined score in those wins is 56-7.

Doubles:

Alessandro Perez & Valentin Suarez defeated Harry Jordan & Joao Cardoso (Union) 6-3.

Luke Geduldt & Sebastiano Zorzi (Union) defeated Michael Gutu and Juan Agudelo 6-4.

Santiago Diaz Lopez & Victor Lopes (Union) defeated Delli Babu & Jared Hoch 6-1.

Singles:

Sebastiano Zorzi (Union) defeated Alessandro Perez 6-4, 6-2.

Kacper Gorecki (Union) defeated Michael Gutu 6-1, 6-1.

Victor Lopes (Union) defeated Valentin Suarez 6-1, 6-1.

Santiago Diaz Lopez (Union) defeated Juan Agudelo 6-1, 6-4.

Harry Jordan (Union) defeated Delli Babu 6-0, 6-0.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Llorenc Porquer-Guzman 6-0, 6-0.

Since the start of the 2008-09 season, Union is 9-1 against Bluefield. Six of those wins were by a score of 7-0 or 9-0.

The Bulldogs are now 11-5 (9-1 AAC) this season. Up next for Union is the AAC Tournament, which is set to begin next week.
