Men's tennis wins 7-0 on Senior Day against Milligan

Barbourville, Ky. - The Union College men's tennis team defeated Milligan 7-0 on Monday, April 3. The Bulldogs have now won eight of their past nine matches. Against Milligan, Union has won 11 matches in a row.

Monday's match featured Senior Day for the Bulldogs. Sebastiano Zorzi, a native of Biella, Italy, was the only player recognized from the men's team.

Doubles:

Joao Cardoso & Harry Jordan (Union) defeated Marcos Moreno & Nathan Smiley 6-4.

Luke Geduldt & Sebastiano Zorzi (Union) defeated Derian Janeke & Ryan Thomas 6-3.

Justin Rigsby & Juan Camilo Burgos defeated Santiago Diaz Lopez & Victor Lopes (Union) 6-4.

Singles:

Sebastiano Zorzi (Union) defeated Krishan Taneja 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.

Kacper Gorecki (Union) defeated Carter Rigsby 7-5, 6-1.

Victor Lopes (Union) defeated Ryan Thomas 6-0, 6-0.

Santiago Diaz Lopez (Union) defeated Marcos Moreno 6-7, 6-2, 1-0.

Harry Jordan (Union) defeated Derian Janeke 6-2, 6-7, 1-0.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Nathan Smiley 8-3.

The Bulldogs are now 10-5 (8-1 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 10-11 (6-4 AAC).
