The Bulldogs defeat Montreat 5-2

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College men's tennis team defeated Montreat 5-2 on Thursday. The Bulldogs swept the doubles matches, and won four of the six singles matches on their way to victory.

Doubles:

Luke Geduldt & Sebastiano Zorzi (Union) won 6-4 against Mohamed Braham & Jovan Slijepcevic.

Kacper Gorecki & Victor Lopes (Union) won 6-3 against Elisey Kalashnikov & Hugo Rodriguez.

Joao Cardoso & Harry Jordan (Union) won 6-1 against Daniel Sanchez De Pedro & Jose Tomala.

Singles:

Braham defeated Zorzi (Union) 6-3, 6-4.

Gorecki (Union) defeated Kalashnikov 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.

Lopes (Union) defeated Slijepcevic 6-4, 6-1.

Jordan (Union) defeated Sanchez De Pedro 6-4, 6-0.

Geduldt (Union) defeated Tomala 6-1, 6-1.

Rodriguez defeated Henning Ebersohn (Union) 2-6, 6-2, 1-0.

Union is now 7-4 this season, while Montreat is 5-4. The Bulldogs have won five-straight matches. In that stretch, they've defeated SCAD Atlanta (6-1), Midway (6-1), Truett McConnell (7-0), Point (7-0), and Montreat (5-2).
