Women's tennis advances to 5-0, men's tennis falls short at Campbellsville

The Union College tennis teams played at Campbellsville on Wednesday. The No. 16 Union women's team defeated No. 22 Campbellsville 4-3, while the No. 13 Union men's team fell 4-3.

Women:

The Bulldogs won the doubles point 3-0. Rin Igarashi and Karen Kondo won 6-2; Liliana Drukerova and Mai Kitashita won 6-2; and Maria Arteaga & Nicole Viljoen won 6-4. In singles play, Igarashi won 6-3, 6-3; Kondo won 6-2, 6-0; and Drukerova won 6-7, 6-1, 6-3. Union won the match by a final score of 4-3.

Men:

The Bulldogs won the doubles point as Henning Ebersohn and Sebastiano Zorzi won 6-3, while Kacper Gorecki and Victor Lopes won 7-6. In singles play, Lopes won 6-4, 6-3 and Ebersohn won 7-6, 5-7, 7-5. Union fell 4-3.

The Union tennis teams host SCAD Atlanta on Saturday at noon.
