Nepogoda wraps swim season at NAIA Nationals

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Zach Nepogoda wrapped a solid junior season by placing in two events at the four-day NAIA Swimming and Diving Championships, which wrapped on Saturday.

Nepogoda opened the tournament on Thursday with a 23rd-place swim in the 500-yard freestyle, where he finished in 4:44.41. He then took 15th in the 1650 freestyle Saturday, completing the race in 16:30.66 and scoring two points for the Bulldogs as a team in the process.

Nepogoda was also a national qualifier in the 200 butterfly, but scratched.
