No. 14 Union defeats Reinhardt 5-0 on Senior Day; places second in AAC

Barbourville, Ky. – No. 14 Union defeated Reinhardt on Sunday night. The Bulldogs will enter the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 2 overall seed.

Sunday's matchup featured Senior Day for the Bulldogs as Union recognized Ethan Whyte, Diogo Costa, Augusto Salomao, Yaniv Zion, Daniel Westray, Carlos Sainz, Andre Viegas, Paulo Carvalheiro Daniel, Nathan Bouard, Mark Page, and Juan Penagos.

In the 19th minute, Union's Callum Edwards scored his 22nd goal of the season and the first goal of the game. Then in the 31st minute, Asuka Kaneda scored the second goal for the Orange and Black. Shortly after in the 39th minute, William Fox scored the last goal of the half.

In the second half, Kaneda scored again in the 57th minute. Luis Davin followed in the 77th minute with his second goal of the season and the last goal of the game.

Kaneda, William Fox, Carvalheiro Daniel, Edwards, and Gianna Loska each recorded one assist. Kaneda, Vallverdu, and Callum Longworth each rank top-5 in the conference in assists this season.

The Bulldogs are now 14-1-2 (10-1-2 AAC) this season, while Reinhardt is 9-4-5 (7-4-2 AAC).

With the regular season now complete, the conference tournament field is set. The Bulldogs are the No. 2 overall seed, and will host No. 7 Bryan on Friday, Nov. 3. The time of that matchup has not yet been announced. To learn more about the conference tournament, click here.
