No. 13 Union men’s soccer ties with No. 23 Tennessee Wesleyan

Athens, Tenn. – No 13 Union men's soccer tied with No. 23 Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday afternoon. The matchup was between the only two Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) teams that were ranked in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Poll.

Both teams totaled four shots on goal throughout the entire game. Union tallied 10 corner kicks in the matchup, while Tennessee Wesleyan recorded four. Each team was held scoreless as the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Union was held to no goals despite entering the matchup having scored at least four goals in seven of their past eight games. It marks the fourth time out of Union's past eight games that the Bulldogs have held the opposition scoreless.

The Bulldogs are now 12-0-2 (8-0-2 AAC) on the season, while No. 23 Tennessee Wesleyan is 8-2-4 (8-0-2 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game against Columbia International on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 4:00 p.m.
