No. 17 Union wins 6-1 at Columbia as the Bulldogs advance to 11-0

Columbia, SC. – No. 17 Union picked up a 6-1 victory at Columbia on Saturday. The Bulldogs scored three goals in each half.

Tyler Wheatcroft scored the first goal of the game during the 15th minute. Just over 15 minutes later, William Fox scored the Bulldogs' second goal of the matchup. Callum Edwards scored Union's third goal of the game in the 35th minute.

Columbia's Jimmy Yancey started off the second half by scoring the Koalas' lone goal of the game. Union countered with a goal Callum Longworth approximately four minutes later.

The Bulldogs went on to extend their lead as Nathan Bouard and Edwards each scored a goal. Union won the matchup 6-1.

Edwards entered this game with the second-most goals scored by any NAIA player this season. Following his two goals on Saturday, he has registered 18 goals this season.

Jan Brzozowski and Wheatcroft each recorded two assists, while Paulo Carvalheiro Daniel recorded one.

The Bulldogs are 11-0 (7-0 AAC) this season, while Columbia is 4-8 (1-7 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference matchup against Bryan on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m.
