The Bulldogs defeat Midway 3-1

Midway, Ky. – The Union College men's soccer team advanced to 3-0 on the season with a 3-1 victory at Midway on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs scored twice in the opening three-and-a-half minutes of the game. Callum Edwards scored Union's first goal of the matchup via an assist by Biel Vallverdu.

Union's second goal of the contest was scored by Callum Longworth off an assist by Asuka Kaneda. At halftime, the Bulldogs led 2-1.

In the second half, the Bulldogs extended their lead with a goal by Augusto Salomao off an assist by Diogo Costa. Union won by a final score of 3-1.

The Bulldogs tallied 12 shots in each half, while Midway recorded a total of seven throughout the game.

Union is now 3-0, while Midway is 1-3. Up next for the Bulldogs is a home game against Northwestern Ohio on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 1:00 p.m.
