Chaney named AAC Men's Golfer of the Week

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Fresh off the first medalist performance of his Union College career, Kedric Chaney earned Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday.

A sophomore for the Bulldogs, Chaney won the award following his first-place showing at the Invitational at Boone Trace last Monday and Tuesday. He finished with the top score in each round, shooting an even-par 144 for the tournament.

Chaney is the first men's golfer from Union to win Player of the Week since Declan Riddle, who got the honor on Sept. 9, 2019 after a win at the Bill Sergent Invitational, which was also the Bulldogs' last medalist effort until Chaney's breakthrough last week.

The Bulldog men are off until April 25, when they will travel to Seneca, S.C. for the AAC Spring Tournament.
