Chaney places 19th for men's golf at Alice Lloyd

RICHMOND, Ky. - Kedric Chaney made a second-round scoring improvement for the third straight tournament to open the spring, leading Union with a 19th-place performance at the Alice Lloyd Men's Golf Spring Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday.

Chaney finished with a 15-over par, 155 during the two-day tournament, shooting a 78 on day one and a 77 on day two. He was the top performer for a Bulldog team that did not record a team score.

Whitney Messer, the only Union golfer scheduled to take part in the women's invitational, did not compete due to illness.

The Bulldogs return to action on April 3-4, when they travel to Richmond for The Invitational at Boone Trace.
