
Golfers compete at Asbury
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Union men's and women's golf teams spent the weekend in Lexington, taking part in the two-day Asbury Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
Fresh off a runner-up finish at the Alice Lloyd Invitational, Whitney Messer was the top performer on the women's side, placing 14th with a total score of 168 (+24). Messer shot an 82 on day one and an 86 on day two.
For the men, Kedric Chaney led the way, finishing with a 17-over-par score of 161, placing 38th.
The Bulldogs have one more match before the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Preview next weekend, when they travel to Johnson City, Tenn. for the Milligan Invitational. The three-day tourney will run form Sept. 25-27.
