Union men’s bowling recap from MSC Championships

Bowling Green, Ky. – The Union College men's bowling team recently competed in the Mid-South Conference Championships. The Bulldogs competed in single, double, and full-team matches. The Bulldogs advanced to the final four, as they placed fourth overall.

In the singles matches, Zach Carter led the way by placing sixth with 652 pins. Out of three games, his game-high was 232. Dylan Barkdoll followed by placing 14h. He had a game-high 246 and a final of 613 pins.

David Painter had a total of 573 pins with a game-high of 204 to place him at No. 28. Charles Goguen followed at 36th place with a game high of 128, and a total of 566 pins.

Hunter Cain placed 57th with a total of 494 pins, and a game high of 198. Zach Lipson followed with a total of 478 pins and a game-high of 184 to put him in 60th place.

Rieley Ulanday placed 63rd with a total of 453 pins and a game-high of 181. Michael Dixon had a total of 434 and a game-high of 162. He secured 65th place.

In the doubles, Painter/Carter placed sixth with a total of 1225 pins and a game-high of 436.

Goguen/Barkdoll followed in 12th place with a game-high of 467 and a total of 1179 pins.

Ulanday/Lipson had a total of 930 pins and a game-high of 342. This placed them in 31st place. Cain/Dixon placed 33rd with a game-high of 328 and a total of 917 pins.

In the first game of bracket play, Union fell to Lindsey Wilson 4-3. Then in round three, Union defeated Campbellsville 4-0.

In round four, the Bulldogs defeated Bethel 4-2. Union then defeated Cumberland 4-0 in round five. In the end, Union was knocked out by Pikeville in round six 4-3.
