Union freshman Hunter Cain named MSC Men’s Bowler of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. - Union College men's bowling freshman Hunter Cain has earned the title of Mid-South Conference Men's Bowler of the Week.

At the recent Hammer Saints Classic, Cain secured an impressive second place overall finish as he showcased his talent with an individual total of 859 pins across four games. He recorded a tournament average of 214.8 pins and a game-high of 238 pins.

This achievement marks Cain's highest placement of the season; just behind his sixth-place finish at the Bulldog Bash. Additionally, he achieved a personal best of 859 pins through four games during the weekend.

The performance earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team in addition to the honor of MSC Men's Bowler of the Week.

"Hunter has shown streaks of greatness as a freshman and I knew it was just a matter of time before he put it all together," head coach Tom Doyle said. "I look for him to have several weekly honors throughout his career. Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
