Seven bowlers earn MSC Academic Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference announced its Bowling Academic Awards Tuesday, and seven Union Bulldogs found their way on the list.

Taylor Booth, Laura Head, Sara Shackelford and Amber Thomason were honored on the women's side, with Dylan Barkdoll, Michael Dixon and David Painter being selected for the men.

Head earned double recognition as she was also the Bulldogs' representative on the Champions of Character team. Zach Carter was the Champion of Character selection on the men's side. For Champions of Character, athletes are nominated by coaches "based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA."

The Bulldogs will travel to Bowling Green for the MSC Singles and Team Championships which begin on Thursday and conclude on Saturday.
