Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University men's basketball team hosted Bryan on Wednesday night. UCU fell short 71-64.
Four Bulldogs scored in double figures. Sam Conley and Dallas Rufus each tallied a team-leading 13 points, while Luca Stubel registered 11 points and Ben Underwood totaled 10 points.
Conley led UCU in total rebounds with six. His two blocks were tied for the most by any player in the matchup.
Kaleb McLendon registered seven points, while Brian Gilmore Jr. tallied six points. Jabari Covington and Micah Engle also scored for UCU. Gilmore Jr. and Conley each tallied a team-leading three steals.
UCU registered 17 assists. Conley, Underwood, Gilmore Jr., and Rufus each registered a team-leading three assists.
The Bulldogs are now 6-11 (2-9 AAC) this season, while Bryan is 12-5 (10-2 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home conference game against Milligan on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 4:00 p.m. on Alumni Basketball Day for the Bulldogs.
