The Bulldogs fall at Bluefield

Bluefield, Va. – The Union Commonwealth University men's basketball team fell short 71-63 at Bluefield on Wednesday night. UCU began the game with a 12-0 run.

Union's Sam Conley tallied a team-leading 18 points and a game-leading eight rebounds. Conley's three steals led all players.

Jeremiah Stroman recorded 15 points and six rebounds. Ben Underwood tallied seven points, while Jabari Covington and Allister Dixon each recorded six points.

Covington registered a game-leading four assists. Dallas Rufus, Jeremy Wilson, and Brian Gilmore Jr. also scored for UCU.

The Bulldogs are now 6-10 (2-8 AAC) this season, while Bluefield is 4-9 (4-5 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home conference game against Bryan on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m.
