Milligan, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University men's basketball team played at Milligan on Wednesday. Despite UCU leading by as many as 15 points in the first half, the Bulldogs fell short 73-69.
Sam Conley led Union in scoring with 20 points, while going 8-of-13 from the floor. He also registered three steals. His eight made field goals is tied for the third most by a Bulldog this season.
Jeremiah Stroman recorded 11 points and a game-leading five steals, which is the most steals by any Bulldog this season.
Dallas Rufus scored 10 points, while Brian Gilmore Jr. tallied nine points. Gilmore was 3-of-6 from 3-point range. It marks the fourth time this season that a Bulldog has made at least three 3-pointers.
Luca Stubel and Allister Dixon each recorded five points. Micah Engle, Kenny Garth, and Ben Underwood also scored for Union.
The Bulldogs are now 5-4 (2-3 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 7-6 (3-3 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home conference game against Reinhardt on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2:00 p.m.
