Five Bulldogs score in double figures as Union defeats KCU 87-59

Grayson, Ky. – The Union College men's basketball team picked up an 87-59 victory at Kentucky Christian on Tuesday. The Bulldogs outscored KCU by double figures in each half.

Markelo Sullivan led Union in scoring and rebounding with 18 points and 14 rebounds. His 14 rebounds are tied for the second most by a Bulldog this season. Sullivan also registered a team-leading three steals in the matchup.

Terrin Hamilton and Deonte Douglas each tallied 14 points for the Bulldogs. Hamilton was second on the team in rebounding with eight rebounds.

Markelle Turner registered 13 points and five rebounds. Sam Conley was one of five Bulldogs in double-figures with 11 points to go with five rebounds.

Anton Mozga, Jay Falls, Will Bailey, and Kaleb McLendon also scored for the Orange & Black. Union surrendered just eight turnovers, while scoring 25 points off turnovers.

The Bulldogs are now 17-6 (16-3 AAC) this season, while KCU is 5-18 (3-16 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference game against Truett McConnell on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 4:00 p.m.
