Columbia, S.C. – The Union College men's basketball team picked up an 86-83 victory on Saturday at Columbia International. The matchup featured two of the top three teams in the conference standings. The Bulldogs led by as many as 19 points in the first half, and led 52-43 at halftime.
Markelo Sullivan recorded 19 points and eight rebounds, which led Union in each category. Anton Mozga tallied 18 points and six rebounds, while Terrin Hamilton and Deonte Douglas each registered 14 points.
Will Bailey was one of five Bulldogs to score in double figures with 10 points in addition to seven rebounds. Markelle Turner, Jay Falls, and Sam Conley combined to score 11 points.
The Bulldogs are now 16-6 (15-3 AAC) this season, while CIU is 14-9 (13-6 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Kentucky Christian.
