Five Bulldogs score in double figures as Union wins 96-83 over Reinhardt

Waleska, Ga. – The Union College men's basketball team picked up a 96-83 victory on Saturday at Reinhardt. In the second half, the Bulldogs led by as many as 19 points.

Markelle Turner recorded a season-high 23 points as he led Union in scoring for the third time this season. Deonte Douglas registered 19 points for the Bulldogs off 8-of-10 shooting from the floor.

Terrin Hamilton and Anton Mozga each scored 15 points, while Will Bailey registered 10 as five Bulldogs scored in double figures.

Markelo Sullivan tallied nine points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. His seven assists are tied for the second most by a Bulldog this season. Sam Conley contributed five points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Union was 19-of-21 from the free-throw line. The Orange and Black won the rebounding battle 41-32, while scoring 42 points in the paint.

The Bulldogs are now 11-5 (10-2 AAC) this season, while Reinhardt is 5-9 (4-7 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game on Wednesday, Jan. 10, against Pikeville.
