Three Bulldogs score at least 21 points as Union defeats Montreat 97-77

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College men's basketball team picked up a 97-77 victory against Montreat on Tuesday night. The score was tied 43-43 at halftime, but an impressive second half resulted in the 20-point victory.

Terrin Hamilton registered 32 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Hamilton's 32 points is the most he's scored as a Bulldog, while also being the most points any Union player has scored this season.

Hamilton was 6-of-13 from 3-point range. Hamilton's six made 3's is the most by any Bulldog this season. He was 13-of-24 from the floor, which gives him the most made field goals in one game by any Bulldog this season.

Markelo Sullivan tallied 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. He's recorded a double-double in three of the past four games. His four steals is tied with his performance against Johnson on Nov. 11 for the most steals in a game by a Bulldog this season.

Anton Mozga scored 21 points, which is tied for the most points he's scored as a Bulldog. Deonte Douglas was the fourth Bulldog in double figures as he scored 12 points. He also tallied six assists, which is the third most by a Bulldog this season behind two of his other performances.

Markelle Turner registered seven points, while Will Bailey contributed four to go along with six rebounds. Union recorded 44 rebounds and 42 points in the paint.

The Bulldogs are now 10-5 (9-2 AAC) this season, while Montreat is 5-8 (3-7 AAC). Up next for Union is a matchup at Reinhardt on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 4:00 p.m.
