Union falls in high-scoring game at Milligan

Milligan, Tenn. – The Union College men's basketball team played at Milligan on Tuesday, Nov. 21, in a conference matchup. The Bulldogs had six players score at least nine points. Union recorded 22 assists, but Milligan won 105-93.

The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 17, but a 3-pointer by Markelle Turner with 9:12 to play in the second half trimmed Union's deficit to three points at 74-71. Milligan went on to extend its lead en route to the 12-point win.

Terrin Hamilton led Union in scoring with 20 points, while Turner recorded all 17 of his points in the second half. Markelo Sullivan registered 16 points off 7-of-9 shooting from the floor to go with six rebounds.

Anton Mozga was Union's fourth-leading scorer with 14 points, while Deonte Douglas tallied 11 points, seven assists, and three steals. Douglas was one of five Bulldogs to score in double figures.

Will Bailey led Union in rebounds with seven, while also recording nine points. Jay Falls and Jordan White also scored for Union.

The Bulldogs are now 4-3 (4-2 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 3-2 (3-2 AAC). Union will participate in The Show later this week, which is being held in Kingsport, Tenn. The Bulldogs face Florida Memorial on Nov. 24 with a matchup against No. 3 Arizona Christian slated for Nov. 25.
