The Bulldogs fall short on the road to Truett McConnell

Cleveland, Ga. – The Union College men's basketball team played at Truett McConnell on Saturday, Nov. 18, in a conference matchup.

The Bulldogs began the game with a 12-3 run that was sparked via a jumper by Terrin Hamilton. Union led by as many as 18 points in the first half, but the Bears won the game 90-86.

Markelo Sullivan led Union in scoring with 19 points. Sullivan was second on the team in rebounding with seven. Deonte Douglas was the Bulldogs' second-leading scorer with 18, while Will Bailey tallied 14 points off 6-of-10 shooting from the floor.

Anton Mozga scored 13 points, while Hamilton scored 12 points in addition to registering a team-leading eight rebounds. Kaleb McLendon, Jahloni Mitchell, and Cam Bartmann also scored for Union. Four of Union's five starters tallied at least one block.

The Bulldogs are now 4-2 (4-1 AAC) this season, while Truett McConnell is 3-4 (2-3 AAC). Up next for Union is a matchup on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Milligan. That game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
