Men's basketball keeps rolling, takes down Reinhardt

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Four Union players scored in double-figures in the second half and the Bulldogs continued their perfect start to the season, defeating Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt 92-76 Saturday afternoon.

Up just 38-35 at the half, Union began the second on a 13-2 run, which was kick-started by an Anton Mozga 3-pointer.

The Eagles made a pair of runs to get back into the game, but each was stopped by Terrin Hamilton 3-pointers. Hamilton connected on back-to-back triples after Reinhardt got within 65-58. He then hit another with 8:08 remaining after the Eagles cut the lead to 73-67, and Union didn't relinquish control the rest of the way, as Mozga proceeded to score seven consecutive points.

Hamilton and Markelle Turner both had 22 points, with 18 of Hamilton's points coming in the second half. Mozga and Deonte Douglas added 18. Douglas scored 13 points in the second half, with Turner scoring 11 in each.

Surprising as it may seem for a coach that has won nine consecutive AAC titles, but this marks the first 4-0 start of coach Kevin Burton's tenure at Union. The Bulldogs are also 3-0 in conference play and will return home to face Kentucky Christian at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
