The Bulldogs fall at Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University football team fell short 28-0 at Cumberlands on Saturday night.

Defensively, UCU held Cumberlands to 0-of-10 on third down. The Bulldogs held the Patriots to 116 passing yards off 22 pass attempts.

Jamarious McClellan led all players with 10 total tackles, while Keke McMurry and Samuel Hawthorne each recorded seven total tackles for the Bulldogs.

Isaiah Johnson led Union in receiving yards with 39 off three catches. Tony Norman also registered three catches, which tied with Johnson for the most by a Bulldog.

The Bulldogs fell to 1-3 on the season, while Cumberlands advanced to 3-1. Homecoming is up next for Union as the Bulldogs will host Bluefield on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 4:00 p.m.
