Union RB Taji Jackson named AAC Offensive Player of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. – Union running back Taji Jackson has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Offensive Player of the Week.

Jackson averaged 14.7 yards per carry in Union's 44-0 win on Saturday against Kentucky Christian. He recorded 200 yards from scrimmage. Jackson registered 162 rushing yards off 11 carries with one rushing touchdown. He also hauled in one reception for 38 yards.

He recorded a gain of at least 27 yards on four plays. On those four snaps, he totaled 178 yards. Jackson concludes the season having rushed for 583 yards off 105 carries and three TDs, while having tallied 11 receptions for 100 yards.

The Bulldogs finished the season 4-6 (3-3 AAC). Union won its final three home games of the season with the combined score of those victories being 97-19.
