Union Cheer Places 9th at NAIA Qualifier

FREMONT, Neb. - The Union College cheerleading team held its own at the NAIA Cheer & Dance Qualifier Meet on Friday, placing ninth out of 14 teams.

The event was hosted by Midland University (Neb.).

As an all-female squad competing among co-ed teams, the Bulldogs held their own and posted consistent scores during the event. In the preliminaries, Union registered a score of 57.37 before recording 56.67 in the finals. The Bulldogs' overall score of 56.84 landed them a hair behind eighth-place Northwestern College (Iowa), which posted a final tally of 58.39.

The University of Mobile (Ala.) won the event with a final composite score of 75.60.
