Bio

Nate Glant is entering his first season as the Pitching Coach for the Union College baseball team.

Prior to arriving at Union, Glant was the head coach at Muskegon Community College from 2020-23.

In 2023, Muskegon led the country in steals with 233, and finished in the top 40 in home runs. Muskegon also set the school record for home runs, stolen bases, and fielding percentage. 14 players received MCCAA All-Conference honors, while 14 players moved on to DI, DII, or an NAIA school.

In 2022, the program broke the school record for stolen bases, while setting the new strikeout record for the pitching staff. Five players received MCCAA All-Conference honors. Six players moved on to DI Schools, while three moved on to NAIA and DII schools.

In 2021, Muskegon won 26 games and finished first in the country in batting average (.370), 22nd in hits (500), and 13th in stolen bases (128). Muskegon picked up several wins over teams ranked in the top 15; including a 5-4 win against a Lansing team that was ranked at No. 1 in the final NJCAA DII Baseball Poll of the season. Muskegon had 15 players receive MCCAA All-Conference honors, while Jared Evans was named a Second Team All-American. Muskegon had 15 players move on to the DI and DII level.

In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Muskegon picked up wins over the No. 16 & No. 3 teams in the country.

Prior to his time at Muskegon, he was the pitching coach at Lincoln Trail College for two seasons from 2018-19. Lincoln Trail was ranked in the top-20 in the NJCAA DI level in team ERA each season, while finishing top-20 in hits and walks in 2018. In 2019, Lincoln Trail was 13th in hits.

Prior to Muskegon, Glant was the pitching coach at Dawson Community College. Dawson ranked No. 10 in Team ERA (3.54) in 2017 at the NJCAA DII level.
