Campbellsville (KY)
Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University baseball team fell to Campbellsville 11-9 on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs recorded eight hits in the nine-inning matchup. Nick Seelman and Sean Cherry each went 2-for-4. Cherry hit a home run, drove in four runs, and scored once, while Seelman doubled and scored twice.
Jayden Gonzalez, Isaiah Pintor, Ernesto Moreno, and Tucker Allen each had a hit. Brysen Vernon and Ryan Brown recorded an RBI, while Pintor and Allen added doubles.
Logan Romasanta started for the Bulldogs, he recorded three strikeouts in three innings. Nathan Van Beek, Jackson Clark, Christian McCollough, Braylon Greene, Grayson Makranyi, Tanner Hayes, and Dalton Kottmer also pitched.
Clark, Hayes, and Kottmer each recorded a strikeout, while Hayes and Van Beek allowed no hits. Along with Clark, that also gave up no runs.
The Bulldogs are now 4-6 this season, while Campbellsville is 4-5. Up next for Union is a conference matchup at Johnson on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 12:00 p.m.
