Union baseball places third nationally with 18 being named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Barbourville, Ky. – The 2024 Daktronics NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes were recently announced. Union Commonwealth University's baseball program had a total of 18 student-athletes receive the honor, which places the Bulldogs third nationally.

According to the official NAIA release, "To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution."

Aidan Rush, Alberto Johnson, Avery Worde, Carter Finlay, Christian McCollough, Colton Stegman, Dalton Kottmer, Drew Hawkins, Dylan Hetzler, Garomme Hanna, Jackson Holcombe, Jude Haser, Luke Pell, Mark Prewitt, Nathaniel Turner, Nicholas Seelman, Robert Finch, and Theron Sons were the 18 Bulldogs that earned this honor.
