Union’s Mason Kelley named AAC Freshman of the Year

Barbourville, Ky. – On Wednesday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released its 2024 Baseball All-AAC Team and Awards.

Union Commonwealth University's Mason Kelley was named the AAC Freshman of the Year. Following Wednesday's game, Kelley has registered a team-leading .346 batting average on the season.

Kelley has recorded 53 hits, 29 RBIs, 37 runs scored, five home runs, 11 doubles, and one triple. He leads the team in hits, runs scored, and doubles. Defensively, he's tallied 315 putouts and 32 double plays, which are each the most by any Bulldog this season.
