Seven members of Union archery earn USA Archery All-American Academic honors

Statesboro, Ga. - USA Archery recently announced its All-American Academic Team honorees. Union Commonwealth University had seven archers receive this honor. 

The All-American Academic Team consists of top archers from each division and class. To qualify, an archer must be a full-time student in the 2024 Spring Semester with a GPA of at least 3.5 through fall 2023.

USA Archery picks the top 25% of archers by score from the U.S. National Indoor Championships, and those who also meet the GPA requirement earn a spot on the team.

In women's compound, Ashley Coffing and Rachel Flack received this honor. Daniel Carlton, Sergio Edgar Martinez Cruz and Jacob Newby each earned this honor for men's compound.

Evan Miller earned an All-American Academic honor in men's fixed pins, while Johnathan Stanley earned the honor in men's barebow.
