Bio

Matthew “Matt” Ratterman is a Graduate Assistant for Sports Information at Union Commonwealth University. A Cincinnati, Ohio, native, he graduated from Turpin High School in 2020, where he competed in freshman soccer and spent four years as a dedicated member of the marching band.

Ratterman continued his education at The Ohio State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in media production and analysis in 2024. While at Ohio State, he worked as a journalist for the student-run newspaper, The Lantern, served as a sports broadcaster for Scarlet and Gray Sports Radio, and was an active member of the Boxing Club, further expanding his involvement in athletics and campus life.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management at Union Commonwealth University, with an anticipated graduation in 2026.

Outside of academics and athletics, Ratterman enjoys spending time on the sand volleyball court, gaming, and following or playing a variety of sports, including basketball, football, and soccer. He is also an fan of anime.

Ratterman is supported by his parents, Lisa and Steve, along with his sisters Lauren and Ryann and his brother Drew.
