Union’s sports communications office receives national honors for 2024-25 school year

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University Office of Sports Communications recently earned multiple honors for the 2024-25 school year. The Bulldogs received a total of four national honors.

 

College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2024-25 Creative & Digital Design Contest:

The Bulldogs received three honors in the "Individual Awards, Milestone & Record Graphics" section. A Union graphic placed at No. 19 in the College Division. The College Division includes all NCAA Division II and Division III schools, NAIA schools, Canadian institutions, two-year colleges and high schools.

To go along with that in the "Individual Awards, Milestone & Record Graphics" section, graphics entered by Union placed in fourth and fifth place respectively in the NAIA.

Of the 16 full-member institutions in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), the schools combined to receive four honors in the CSC's Creative & Digital Design Contest this year. Three of those four were earned by Union. The Bulldogs were one of two NAIA schools in Kentucky to earn an honor.

 

2025 NAIA-SIDA Publications & Media Contest:

Union placed third in the "Best Wallpaper" category. UCU is one of two full-member schools in the AAC to earn one or more honors in the 2025 NAIA-SIDA Publications & Media Contest. Of the 10 NAIA schools in Kentucky, the Bulldogs were one of four institutions that earned at least one honor.
