Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University volleyball team hosted Bryan on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs fell short 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-20.)
Emily Shumaker led UCU in kills with 13, while Raquel Kessler tallied 10. Luisa Slompo registered five kills, while Jasmine Porter and Berkli Benefield each recorded four.
Maddy McGaughey led Union in assists with 19, while Yanelis Turbi totaled six and Sarah Charkosky recorded five. Nicole Almestica led all players in digs with 15.
McGaughey tallied nine digs, while Kessler and Pickett each recorded six. Shumaker and Lara Gomes De Castro each totaled five digs.
The Bulldogs are now 8-12 (6-4 AAC) on the season, while Bryan is 4-14 (3-8 AAC). Up next for UCU is a road conference match against Milligan on Friday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m.
