Athens, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University volleyball team won in four sets at Tennessee Wesleyan on Thursday night.
Four Union Bulldogs tallied at least nine kills. Emily Shumaker, Talyn McCaslin, and Berkli Benefield each tallied nine kills. Raquel Kessler led UCU in kills with 12.
Maddy McGaughey led Union in assists with 28, while Sloan Coursey registered 10. Kessler led UCU in digs with 23, while McKenna Pickett and Lain Prather each recorded 13.
Shumaker and McGaughey each tallied 10 digs, while Coursey and Lara Gomes De Castro combined to register 15.
UCU is now 3-7 (1-0 AAC) this season, while Tennessee Wesleyan is 3-8 (0-1 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference match against Milligan on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11:00 a.m.
