Union women's indoor track and field IWU Midwest Classic recap

Marion, Ind. -  The Union Commonwealth University women's indoor track and field team competed at the IWU Midwest Classic on Saturday.

In the 4x800m relay, the team of Sofia Petz, Kaylee Hall, Jasmine Clouse, and Abby Mabe secured a fourth-place finish with a time of 11:22.12. Erin Pease placed fifth in the 60m hurdles, clocking in at 9.62 seconds. 

In the 1000 meters, Mabe posted a time of 3:34.61. In the 800 meters, Clouse and Petz both competed, with Clouse finishing in 2:46.77 and Petz in 2:48.52. Meanwhile, Malene Obermayer and Pease raced in the 200 meters, where Obermayer crossed the line in 29.62 and Pease in 30.00. 

The 4x400m relay team of Bella Townsend, Petz, Melanie Partin, and Hall earned a fifth-place finish with a time of 4:50.06. 

In field events, Obermayer recorded a shot put mark of 9.25m, while Pease secured a 10th-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.58m.
