UCU’s Chiara Isanto named AAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University's Chiara Isanto has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. 

Isanto made three saves in two games, earning a perfect 1.000 save percentage and two shutouts. She has a .815 save percentage, ranking fifth in the AAC, and her 1.00 goals-against average ranks fourth. This is Isanto's second AAC Player of the Week honor this season.

UCU went 2-0 with wins over Bluefield and St. Andrews, scoring eight goals and allowing none.

The Bulldogs are 3-1-1 (2-1 AAC) this season. Next for UCU is a home conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 5:00 p.m.
