Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University women's soccer team defeated Midway 4-1 on Thursday night.

Miranda Cardona, Alberta Yirenkyi, Shaylynn Bentley, and Iyana Campbell each scored one goal for UCU. Campbell registered two assists, while Jennifer Reyes and Yirenkyi each tallied one assist.

Union recorded 16 shots with 13 shots on goal. Midway tallied eight shots with five shots on goal. UCU registered four saves, while Midway tallied nine.

The Bulldogs are now 2-0-1 this season, while Midway is 1-1-0. Up next for UCU is a road conference match against Brenau on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 3:00 p.m.
