2024-25 Union golf season preview

Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University golf team begins its 2024 season on Monday in the Georgetown College Invite. The two-day tournament will include 36 holes each day.

Here's a statement from head coach Russell Sisson on the upcoming season.

"Union has five new (freshmen) golfers: 4 men and 1 woman. We have one returner on the men's side. We will probably add a few golfers for the spring half of the season. Preseason play suggests that two golfers on the men's side are particularly strong: Gabe Raymundo and Luke Townhill (both freshmen). The other golfers have shown skills on the course which suggest that with practice and tournament experience they will improve over the course of the season. Individual improvement over the year is what the coach expects and what the players should expect of each other."
