Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team picked up a 90-63 win over Columbia on Wednesday. UCU's Gracie Jervis registered an impressive performance, which tied a school record.
Jervis tallied a game-leading 26 points, five assists, and a game-leading four steals. She was 8-of-17 from 3-PT range. Her 26 points are tied for third most by a Bulldog this season.
Jervis' eight made 3's tied Union's school record for the most 3-pointers made by one player in a single game. Jervis joins Madison Cox, J'Lyn Martin, and Susanna Todd to register that accomplishment.
Madison Brady tallied 22 points, while Emrey Glover accounted for 11 and McKenzi Himes totaled nine. Brady led all players in blocks with two, while also going 10-of-14 from the floor. Her 10 made field goals is third most by a Bulldog this season.
Rachel Smith tallied eight points to go with a game-leading nine assists. Smith's nine assists are the most by a Bulldog this season.
Ja'Naia Moran registered seven points, while Harper Coffey tallied five and Natalie Johnson scored two points. Claire Belcher led UCU in rebounding with seven.
The Bulldogs are now 6-14 (5-9 AAC) this season, while Columbia is 15-7 (8-7 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference game against Brenau on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2:00 p.m.
