No. 19 Union falls 5-2 at Pikeville

Pikeville, Ky. – The No. 19 Union Commonwealth University men's tennis team played at Pikeville on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell short 5-2.

 

Doubles:

Ahmed Hassairi and Haithem Rabbouche defeated Henning Ebersohn and Sebastian Stipanov (Union) 6-4.

Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Mateo Vargas and Guiliano Zambrano 6-4.

Timur Chsherbakov and Anton Hofmann defeated Daniel Caballeros and Enzo Sebastien (Union) 7-6.

 

Singles:

Timur Chsherbakov defeated Luke Geduldt (Union) 6-3, 0-6, 6-1.

Haithem Rabbouche defeated Yassine Azehaf (Union) 6-3, 6-2.

Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Mateo Vargas 6-3, 6-1.

Enzo Sebastien (Union) defeated Guiliano Zambrano 7-6, 6-2.

Ahmed Hassairi defeated Henning Ebersohn (Union) 6-3, 6-4.

Anton Hofmann defeated Daniel Caballeros (Union) 6-3, 6-4.


The Bulldogs are now 6-5 (3-1 ACC) this season, while Pikeville is 5-2 (3-0 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home match against Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday, March 25, at 2:00 p.m.
